President's Message
Happy Daylight not Savings Week (this Saturday Evening) to you OSTC Club members! Our Wonderful Lakeside Cabin Party Event took place at nearby Lake Louisa in Clermont, Florida a couple of weeks ago. We had nearly 50 members attend this year and enjoy a superb weekend of fun, laughs, and campfire! We enjoyed our Best Potluck event yet (superb dishes), hiking, kayaking, bicycle ride, Ice cream social, and themed decorated Cabin Dance Parties!! Costumes were great! Congratulations to the Glow Girls, I mean Prom Court that put together the 2024 award-winning Cabin themed “Prom” including Crowns, Sashes, and Beauty Queens! Make a note to yourself now to attend next year by reserving space within your schedule next Fall once the dates are announced for next year ’s Lake Louisa Cabin Party Weekend! Date is TBD at this point but we are shooting for next October. Argentina was Epic! We visited 5 different scenic, climate and temp varied locations throughout the beautiful country where we viewed and experienced 2 of the top 10 Natural Wonders of the World! Perito Merino Glacier, nearly 100 Large (size of 2 Large Buses) Grey Whale breaches next the boat, Penguins, Waterfalls, Malbec Wine, Guanacos, Gauchos, Horse riding, Tango Dancers, Change of the Guards, Tango Lessons, Train rides, Sheep Shearing, La Recoleta Cemetery, Legends of Argentina and perhaps the best Steak and BBQ man can find! OSTC Christmas Party – Wednesday December 11th, at the Hilton Garden Inn, at 1275 Lee Rd., Winter Park, Florida, from 7pm to 11pm - Celebrate Christmas Holiday with fellow Orlando Ski and Travel Club Members – Everyone including your friends, neighbors and coworkers are invited to attend. We will provide Christmas Cheer Food and a Superior DJ with Exciting Dancing Toons and Moves.
